Sundra L. Ryce
Board Member
As a young girl, Sundra Ryce was deeply inspired by her father, a businessman who ran his own construction firm. In 1996, she founded SLR Contracting & Service Company. More than a decade later, the President and Chief Executive Officer of one of Buffalo's thriving businesses continues to set a strong example for aspiring entrepreneurs. In 2005, Ryce was named one of The Network Journal's 25 influential black women in business, and in 2007, SLR was recognized as one of the 500 fastest-growing, privately held companies in America by Inc. magazine. A sought-after speaker and licensed minister, Ryce received her bachelor of science in business from Buffalo State College and her master of science from Medaille College. She is a member of the Board of Trustees for the Western New York Public Broadcasting Association, Buffalo State College Foundation Board and the Buffalo Urban Development Corporation.
