Robert M. Zak

Since 1995, Robert Zak has served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Merchants Insurance Group, which includes Merchants Mutual Insurance Company and Merchants Preferred Insurance Company. Before entering the insurance field in 1985, Zak, a certified public accountant, enjoyed a career in public accounting. He earned a bachelor of science and a master's in business administration degree from the University at Buffalo. Zak serves as a director, trustee or member of the following organizations: the Dean's Advisory Council of the Wehle School of Business at Canisius College, the University at Buffalo School of Management Dean's Advisory Council, the Kaleida Health System, the United Way of Buffalo & Erie County, Rand Capital Corporation and The 100 Club of Buffalo and Western New York, Inc. He is also a member of the Buffalo Niagara Enterprise Board of Directors.
